Printable Version

Mayonnaise
Tuna
Pasta
Oil
Cheese

1.  Put your pot on stove and drizzle some oil in the water...this is to help the pasta not stick to each other.  And when the water comes to a boil add the pasta and then lower the heat...

2.  As you can see below the pasta is ready, it has doubled in size, you can now strain it from the water and place it in a nice oven proof bowl.

3.  After you've placed the pasta in the bowl, sprinkle over cheese, the tuna and then mayonnaise, as you can see i have put in a lot of mayonnaise, i prefer a lot of mayonnaise and cheese...

4.  Mix them all together well, sprinkle some more cheese over it and place in the oven until the cheese is melted....if your really really hungry forget about the oven and melt the cheese in the microwave and eat....

Sticky Chicken

I truely love cooking...I love putting things together and coming up with food that taste good.  I love serving people food and seeing their faces light up when they eat my food...and this sticky chicken recipe is one of my favourites and my family's.  I have a various ways of making this recipe, it all depends on the size of chicken pieces that i'm working with.  This is really another quick and easy one..enjoy

So here we go:

What you need:

Chicken pieces (you can decide for how many people your cooking for)
Onion
Oil

1.  Put your oven on 180.  Chop up your onion in rings, drizzle a bit of oil on a oven dish and place the onion rings in the dish.  Then pack your chicken over the onions.

2.  I love my spices, so spice your chicken, i love using beef spice, mix herbs, soja sauce and salt & pepper.

And now for the MAGIC sauce..the part that makes this chicken taste irresitable.

What you would need:

 50ml Oil
125 ml Tomato Sauce
125 Chutney
15ml Soja Sauce
60 ml Sugar
Spice (as much as you prefer)

Mix together all of the ingrients and mix well.

3.  After about 20 minutes take the chicken out and turn them around and then spice them on the other side also...

4.  After about another 15 minutes take the chicken out and pour your sauce over it, make sure that you cover all the chicken.

5.  I took it out a couple of time in between to just pour the sauce over the chicken.

Whala your done, i served it with potato wedges and some homemade beetroot.  You can also just serve it up with a nice garden salad.  And yes your fingers will get sticky..but that's what eating is all about..

Enjoy - let the taste transport you...

Rugby Breakfast

The World cup Ruby has Kicked off...so let's have breakfast while we watch....

So the world cup has kicked off and we watched the first game this Sunday that South Africa played in, what fun, and yes i love rugby and love watching it with my hubby.  So because the first South African game was in the morning i didn't want to do the whole rugby snacks thing so i decided to may a fun & easy breakfast...This breakfast is fun for everyone and you can sit back and relax while your oven is cooking a perfect breakfast...Enjoy the breakfast and enjoy the games...

So here we go:

What you will need:

Packet of pork banger or any other sausage you have in the house (i used "Boerewors")
Packet of Bacon
Onion
Tomato
Mushrooms
Oil

And here we go:

1.  First cut the onion (you can use as much as you want, and throw it in your oven dish with a bit of oil in it.

2.  Then go ahead and cut your tomato's in quarters or as i did below in halves, add them to the dish.

3.  Now i have added the sausage as you can see below, little pieces are the best way, and then i added my seasoning....my favourite of course, Soja sauce, beef spice and mixed herb, with a little bit of salt & pepper over it.

4.  And now you can add the bacon and mushrooms, nice whole mushrooms are the best, as you can see below:

5.  And in the oven she goes

6.  Keep watching it but it will most probably be in there for about 20 minutes, then take it out when you think it's ready and everything is cooked and make little "holes" in the food where you can add the eggs in.. as you can see I'm doing.

7.  Place it back in the oven and let the eggs cook, keep an eye that you don't over cook the eggs.  When their ready take it out and whala it's done....Serve on toast and a nice cup of coffee and sit down and watch the rugby...

This recipe of course is the best ever for mothers day and may fathers day as you don't have to do much and it taste awesome.

As always let the taste transport you....

Crumbed Pork Chops

So what to make for dinner you ask?  Something that is still quick & easy and seems like you are a professional.  So here is a recipe i make for my family every so often, goes nicely with mash & veg, my family like sweet peas.  The recipe is almost no effort.

So here we go:

What do you need:

Pork chops
2 eggs
Crumbs mix
Maizena
Oil for the pan

Quick tip before we start:

If you add Maizena to your flour & crumbs then it will be more crispier.

1. Make your crumbs mix, add about 1 cup of flour, 1 tsp of Maizena, crumbs & seasoning (beef spice & herbs)

2.  Put the whisked egg in a bowl separate from everything else.  So you are now ready to begin as in the picture below pork chops, egg & crumb mix. Also put your oven dish in the oven with oil in it, this will help so that the pork chops don't get stuck to the dish.

3.  First dunk your pork in the egg & then in the crumbs mix.

4.  This is about what it should look like:

5.  When you have crumbed them all, put them in your oven dish and put it back into the oven, it should take about 15 to 20 minutes for them to be ready, but keep checking....Don't let it burn.

Her you go all done, as you can see now they are nice and brown and ready to be eaten.

Enjoy and let the taste transport you.

Pasta Bolognaise

I love pasta, i could eat it everyday...i truely love it..so i thought i would put up one of my favourite dinners that i make almost every week.  It is quick and easy, i make it in about 30 minutes.  If you have a lot of people over and don't know what to make that is easy and doesn't hurt your pocket...this is it.

So here we go:

You need the following:

Bag of pasta
500g to a 1kg mince (it all depends on how meaty you want it)
1 x onion chopped
1 x can chopped tomato
1 x sachet tomato paste
oil

1. On your stove top heat some water a litre per pasta bag, pour some oil in the water (this helps that the pasta does not stick to each other)

2.  When the water is boiling add the pasta and stir.

3.  After about 15 minutes the pasta should be ready, you will notice that the pasta has almost double in size, and the water is much much less.
4.  Strain the pasta from all the water, some people run water over the pasta, but i don't think it's really needed.

5.  And then into a bowl.

Now it's time for the meat...you of course don't have to make it seperate, it's quicker to cook it together.

1.  So first you chop up your onion and then fry it in a little bit of oil...cook it until it's golden brown.

2.  Then you can add the mince, cook it until its nice and brown, add your seasoning...of course my favourite is beef spice, soja sauce and aromat, and salt & pepper.

 3.  After its brown add your can of chopped tomato & tomato paste and let it simmer.

4.  And then it's done, pour it over the pasta and then sprinkle some cheese over.

Enjoy the taste and dinner.
